The August 21st 2010 Imbo Usenge Free Medical Camp
The Evans Wagoro Foundation in partnership with the PLO Lumumba Foundation organized a free medical camp on the 21st August 2010 at Imbo Usenge, Central Nyanza. The medical camp was successful. We attended to 1300 patients with different diseases.
Bethany Kid a charity mission organization based at Kijabe in Kenya sent 9 medical experts who participated at the Camp. They also came along with a surgeon who would help in screening children with cleft lips and cleft palates and neurological problems even though we did not register a patient with similar cases.
The Team was very cooperative and was lead by Mr Willis Obunga, the Bethany Kids Communications Coordinator.
Other organizations who participated were the Kenya Hope Foundation and What if Group.
We also carried 10 volunteer medical students from the University of Nairobi to assist the medical experts and 6 from business school to help in logistics during the camp
The Evans Wagoro Foundation team participating in the Camp was coordinated by Purity Mwangi who during this time was on internship with the Evans Wagoro Foundation as an Administrator with the Health Division.
